Introduction
Active+ is thrilled to be the new home for Sing for Joy Hull; a brand-new charity-funded youth choir for children aged 9–13 living in Hull and East Yorkshire.
The choir launches with its first session on Thursday 23rd October, 5–6pm, and best of all, it’s completely free to join (donations welcome).
Led by the incredibly talented Helen Garnett - known for her appearances on Britain’s Got Talent, BBC All Together Now and BBC Gospel Choir of the Year, children will learn to belt out rock, pop, and gospel favourites in a fun, friendly and inclusive environment.
No experience? No problem!
All that’s needed is enthusiasm, a love of music, and a willingness to have a go. Whether your child sings in the shower or is already confident on stage, they’ll be welcomed, encouraged and celebrated.
Pilot Scheme – Everyone Welcome
The initial pilot sessions will run once a month, open to all children in the age range, regardless of musical background. As the choir develops, we aim to form a committed group of singers with a shared passion for performing.
